This isn’t a skull for vanity; it’s a metaphor for man’s evolution. Richard Orlinski’s transformed and deformed « Skull » begs the question about which way evolution is going: progress or dehumanisation Eliminating the jaw reflects man’s regression in eliminating language. The expansion of the parietal lobe restricts the frontal lobe where the most advanced areas of intellect reside. This sculpture in motion makes us think about mankind’s meaning and future.
